Hi there everyone and welcome to my blog! My name is Lauren, I'm 19 years old and I live in Glasgow. I'm a blue eyed, blonde haired vegetarian Lady Gaga and Owen Wilson fan. I love more than that, but it would take up more than one page. Well, alright here goes; Memebase, comedy movies, squirrels, ducks, Disney, glitter, Jem and the Holograms, Thunderbirds, Avengers, shopping, arts and crafts, Katy Perry, The Sims 3, Family Guy. I don't think I can breathe after that sentence. I mostly learned how to make jewellery myself, although some of it was taught at a local bead shop, which is my favourite place for a bit of retail therapy. So far I have just been making little practice pieces, gifts, etc, but I hope that someday I will be able to sell some of my work (not the one-of-a-kind stuff, that's for myself, family and friends only). The only things standing in my way is:
1) Not enough creative criticism
2) I have no idea how to tax what you sell online
3) I have very little knowledge of how to sell online

A bit about me...

Ok, so I guess I forgot to tell you about myself. Well, I'm 18, from Glasgow, Scotland and my favourite hobby has to be making jewellery. So far I have never made two identical pieces, but I'm considering changing that. Most of my inspiration comes from my favourite music - Katy Perry, Rihanna, Jessie J, Beyoncé, Ke$ha, Adele, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera (all the cheesiest pop around basically), but my true hero is Lady Gaga. Her music and wacky fashions have fascinated me since I first heard Just Dance, and she never fails to surprise me. I also can find inspiration in everyday life, but I'm not going to say where just yet, just in case. Just to sum me up, here's a list of my favourite things.

Animal: Duck/Squirrel
Movie: Zoolander/Midnight in Paris
Actor: Owen Wilson (love that nose!)
Group/Artist: Lady Gaga
Colour: Rainbow
Song: Bad Romance/Born This Way (other songs you probably won't have heard of, unless you too are a monster!), or United State of Pop 2007-2011 by DJ Earworm
Food: Fried egg on potato waffle
Drink: Strawberry or raspberry daiquiri

Jewellery making technique: It varies, but at the moment it's working with seed beads and a bead loom.
Perfume: Aura by Swarovski, Vera Wang Princess, Miss Dior Cherie or anything Thierry Mugler
Book: Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronté.
TV show: The Big Bang Theory
Cartoon Character: Spongebob Squarepants, Rapunzel, Cleveland Brown.

Only The Beginning...

Hey folks, just a wee message to start this blog off. Basically, I'm gonna use this to keep a record and showcase any of the jewellery I make, and you can do the hard work for me (that's a joke, obv, making jewellery is fun but can be difficult) and give me your opinions of my work. I'll also be posting a new poll each month, asking different questions that will aid me in making my jewellery. All creative criticism is welcomed, but please do not post anything nasty, hurtful or offensive to me or anyone else. Enjoy!
